遠出ができない中で近場で非日常の空間を味わいたくて一泊。街中にありながらも静かで、ゆったりとしたお部屋とバスルームで快適にくつろぐことができました。

家族旅行で小さい娘を連れての滞在にて、五つ星ということでやや神経質になっていたが、最初の案内で、暖かく親切に歓迎していただいた。なににも勝る安堵感だと思いましたし、旅行の期待感も増しました。素晴らしい部屋と暖かいスタッフの方々のおかげで、楽しい思い出が出来ました。アムステルダム観光をいろいろとしましたが、もう少しホテルの中に居たいという感じになりました。また、機会があれば滞在したいホテルです。

非常に歴史ある豪華な内装のホテル。「花」の絵画が飾ってあったのは、実にオランダらしい。積極的に声がけしてくれるドアマンの気配りもよかった。

バリ・リゾートのインターコンチネンタルにアンバサダーとして初めて宿泊してそのホスピタリティの素晴らしさに感動してからすっかりファンになりました。今回のオランダでの滞在はイタリアからの最後のビジネストリップになりましたが快適なベッドと心温まるサービス（特にコンシェルジュの素晴らしい対応）に大変満足して過ごせました。コンシェルジュの勧めで乗った運河観光のホテル専用ボートも楽しいものでした。ロイヤルファミリーが利用するだけあって　インターコンチネンタルはアムステルダムで最高のホテルです。今後も定宿として利用させていただきます。

アムステルダムの街を流れる川沿いにあるクラシカルなホテル。　美しいエントランスホール、お部屋や廊下の絵画も素敵でした。　お部屋は青い人物模様のクラシカルな壁紙で覆われ、バスルームに至るまで細部にこだわり綺麗に飾られていました。素晴らしい思い出になりました。

各スタッフのスマイルもさることながら、随所で「今日はどこに行くのですか？」とか「日本にはアムステルダムと同じような美術館はあるのですか？」など、会話をして下さりました。また、こちらの拙い英語でも一生懸命に聞き取り、親身になって対応頂きました。アムステルダムが好きな街になったのも、インターコンチネンタル アムステルホテルのお陰と思います。

ヨーロッパの雰囲気を十分に満喫出来るホテルでした。ホテルの内装も歴史を感じられ、かつ、隅々まで手入れが行き届いていて快適です。部屋からの運河の眺めも良く、アムステルダムの町の雰囲気を十分に満喫できました。

たくさんスタッフがいるホテルです。とても古いですが、清潔です。料金が高い分、コストパホーマンスは低くいと感じましたかった。

創業150年、19世紀当時のグランドホテルの雰囲気がそのまま残っている宮殿のようなホテル。寛げる客室、レストラン、プール、サービスも素晴らしい。トラムや地下鉄駅も近く、ライクスミュージアムも徒歩圏内で、とても便利。

快適なサービスであり、便利な交通。親切な人々です。美味しい朝食。とても綺麗な景色！次回も利用します。ほかはとくにないです。

古い歴史のあるたたずまいですが、設備はしっかりしており快適です。レストランもおいしくスタッフも親切です。アムステル川向き飲む部屋ならアムステルダムに滞在している実感が満喫できます。

運河に面した景色のいいホテルでした。アムステルダムに滞在したという実感がわく立地です。室内は清潔で　静粛が保たれ　居心地のいいホテルです。

フロントクラークは到着客には無頓着で、ゲストが到着しても、電話やスタッフ間の会話に夢中。電話が終わっても、声を掛け無いとゲストの到着にすら気づかない。歴史ある建物と最高のロケーションを台無しにしている。

外観のライトアップもロマンチックで、近くに美味しいレストランや、スーパーマーケットもあり、静かな素晴らしいホテルでした。

交通の便も良く快適に過ごせました。部屋も掃除が行き届いておりたいへん綺麗でした。残念なのはエキストラベットがあまりにも貧弱でした。

今回、滞在を大変楽しめました。地下鉄へもトラムも近くどこへ行くにも便利でした。妻も朝食をとても気に入ってました。

Bel hôtel avec un emplacement au calme! Service attentionné malgré un décalage au petit déjeuner. Comme beaucoup d’établissements manque de personnel. La chambre très agréable et fort sympathique me surclassement! Dommage que la piscine n’étant pas chauffé. Conclusion hôtel très confortable et raffiné!

Absolutes oustanding Hotel.Man muss den Stil und die Geschichte mögen und dabei vielleicht über ein paar Kleinigkeiten, geschuldet durch das Alter des Hotels, hinwegsehen.Aber man findet selten ein Hotel wo man Geschichte lebt, daher würde ich Sanierungen oder Renovierungen auch nur kosmetisch vornehmen. Sind aber teilweise nötig.Trotzdem ein Erlebnis und selten in der Hotelwelt.Anerkennung des Status Royal Ambassador könnte besser sein, Zimmer Upgrade naja, Geschenk gar nicht, Minibar Non Alkohol, Club fehlt.

I wanted to make it an unforgettable and memorable experience for me and the daughter of one of my best friends who unfortunately passed away a few months ago and was not able to join us in our Amstel Hotel adventure and girl week-end in Amsterdam. It was a wish of hers to spend one night in the nicest hotel in Amsterdam with her precious daughter! So in her honor I decided to make her dream come true for her and her daughter! We were given a great room with a view and spent the morning at the gym, swimmingpool and spa. A time to remember! creating memories......

Die Service- bzw Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals war hervorragend! Man hat versucht jeden Wunsch (mit Erfolg) zu erfüllen und man hatte das Gefühl, dass es dem Personal Freude bereitet weiterzuhelfen.

Perfect location!! On a canal but quiet. Close to subway and tram stations. Great rooms and staff!! Couldn’t be happier about our stay!

Lets start with the positive, staying at the Amstel Hotel is an incredible experience. The overall allure of the place is obvious and memorable. The pool and spa are also excellent. Things that you should be aware of. 1. The rooms are in need of maintenance. Little paint chips missing, loose door knobs and some furniture that are past their prime. 2. Its 2021, the quality level of Vegan or Gluten free options is not up to par with the level you might expect from a hotel of this stature. 3. Our room smelled like smoke pretty bad. The concierge commented that he was a smoker himself and could not smell anything, which wasnt very useful. They cleaned the room during our evening dinner which got rid of 90% of the smell. However, we never got any apology or comment by the staff.

The Amstel certainly qualifies as on of the moon resort hotels in the IHG portfolio. Wonderful canal front property. Great staff make the stay most pleasant

We love to stay at the Amstel hotel,a true landmark ,could use an a little upgrade here and there but still a perfect location for any celebration.Highly recommended!

This was my second stay at the Amstel and it was once again memorable for all the right reasons. The hotel clearly took covid-19 precautions seriously, which was reassuring. I was upgraded to a beautiful junior suite overlooking the Amstel, as recognition of my Ambassador status. I was also granted my 4pm checkout without quibble. The hotel itself is opulent and grand, with beautiful high ceilings, a decadent lobby, and excellent facilities. I particularly felt that the staff really cared about our stay experience, as even the less experienced staff members did their best to make us feel comfortable and valued. I must specifically comment that the bathrooms are a real treasure in this hotel, with a large bath and separate cubicles for the toilet and separate shower. We enjoyed the opportunity to take our breakfast on the terrace beside the Amstel. The bar served excellent cocktails once again, even despite the reduction in their menu due to the impact of covid. The bar staff were able to make cocktails off menu according to our particular preferences, and the results were spectacular. Overall, I would say my girlfriend and I had a wonderful, relaxing stay in this quiet grand dame of a hotel. The staff are a credit to the hotel.

I first stayed in Amstel in 1986 and then in 1989.SinceI have lived in Amsterdamfor30years I did not stay there again until this week. I had dined regularly at La Rive and the brasserie and was a longtime and daily user of the health club and its lovely pool. The staff is excellent, the service fine, the public spaces lovely and well maintained. The A Bar and terrace are wonderful.But the room,is SHABBY at best. The rug is old, worn and stained. The curtains had stains. The paint on the closet doors are worn. The molding in the toilet area is rotten and broken. For a five star hotel at this price point this is an insult to your guests. While I of course will recommend the public areas to anyone, I cannot recommend the hotel for an over night stay. This is a real shame.

4th stay at the Amstel Hotel: the grandeur and beauty of the building remain.Even if the Covid has changed some details: seated check in, beautiful lounges removed and plexiglass walls, the welcome is still the best in Europe.And the team shows great professionalism, so that the customer does not suffer from the Covid.The IHG CLEAN protocol is perfect.InterContinental remains the only chain with LHW to maintain a real level of recognition for its Ambassador members. With my Platinum status I received a double upgrade to an executive river view suite.The Whaooooooo effect was immediate upon discovering the suite..Everything is magnificent, the common areas, restaurants and terrace on the Amstel river.All the staff are very friendly and cheerful.Room service (diner and breakfast) is generous and delicious.I know the InterContinental hotels in Europe very well and Amstel remains the best in Europe and in the world. A landmark.Congratulations on the welcome from Duty Manager Floris who from check in to check out is very professional and sincerely ensures that the stay is perfect.. My wife and I had a great stay in our hometown. We stayed at the hotel to celebrate her 40the birthday. Because this was in our Bucket list, we decided to have diner at this great hotel.

We decided to stay a night in Amsterdam and wanted to stay at the Intercontinental in Amsterdam. The hotel is very well located near the metro station and was an easy walk.When checking in, they surprised us by upgrading us to the Dom Perignon suit, which was beautiful. At checking they even asked us what we wanted to drink (champagne, coffee etc)The person checking us in, even walked us to the room and showed us around. Never in my life, did I had this experience which was great! The beds in the suite were amazing, and the sheets on the bed were super comfortable. We were so satisfied that we asked the concierge to provide us with the name and they did!Overall, this stay was amazing and if we come back, we want to stay here again!

Recently spent several nights at the Amstel and had a great experience. It’s a beautiful, historic property in the classic European style. Nice location within walking distance of the museums and other sites on our list. Very high quality of service and the standout was the concierge team - led by Aad van den Berg - who consistently pointed us in the right direction. Highly recommend requesting a room with canal view and scheduling their boat for a tour. The captain is very knowledgeable.

Wonderful experience, really nice people that work there. Excellent service staff and surroundings. Wish I could live this way all year long for the rest of my life!

I live 5 minutes away from this hotel...and I still treat myself to a staycation there a few times a year. The classic elegance is unparalleled. Staff are extremely engaging and went out of their way to ensure I had a delightful experience, including ultimately finding me a room that I loved. The pool is a treat, with great views of the Amstel while you swim. For as long as I am able, I will continue to patronize this hotel!

The Intercontinental Amstel is one of the loveliest hotels we have ever visited. We are Ambassador members which I highly recommend. Our room upgrade was gorgeous over looking Amstel River. I opened the windows and gazed at the river multiple times every day. The staff is one of the best we have ever experienced. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. We were within walking distance of the museums, opera house and canal cruises. Actually we walked everywhere. Amsterdam is a vibrant, clean, very interesting city and I highly recommend staying at the Intercontinental Amstel.

We always try to stay in historic hotels when traveling on holiday. This hotel did not disappoint. It has kept to its original Dutch residence form with great history points and pictures of the past on the 2nd level going up the grand staircase completed in a museum fashion to properly view. We arrived early from a Viking cruise just completed from Basel and spent 2 days in the corner executive room overlooking the canals of Amsterdam. It was perfect, grand and a lot fun. The staff and entire experience at this hotel was excellent and a great way to wind down, enjoy a great city before traveling home.

Our early check-in was most appreciated after a long flight from the US. The lobby area is absolutely beautiful with amazing floral displays. We received an upgrade to a canal view room. (Platinum Member) The views from the room were fabulous. Bath and shower were very good. We had mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary. We received a chilled bottle of champagne and chocolate covered cherries. It was such a nice surprise. The hotel is very Grand with lots of great spots for relaxing, having a glass of wine and watching all of the activity on the canal. We didn’t eat in the restaurants as we were busy out and about. We will definitely stay here again if we are able to return to Amsterdam. We only had one converter/adapter so it was a challenge to charge our devices. We didn’t ask for an extra one so I don’t know if they had them available to borrow.

A fantastic place to stay for business or pleasure.This place is referred to as the Dam of Amsterdam for this very reason. I will be back. And I will tell everyone I know about the professionalism of the staff and the excellent service given during my recent stay.

Check in was artfully executed and I was personally shown my suite and all its features. Breakfast daily at La Rive is an experience not to be missed. You will be amazed at the breakfast selection and the highly attentive, courteous and friendly staff makes one feel super special and uplifts the entire breakfast experience. Concierge is also the most approachable, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The spectacular service coupled with the amazing heritage building makes this intercontinental property my favourite so far in the world. When in Amsterdam, this is the only place to stay in. Oh I forgot to mention the hotel river cruise docked right outside the hotel. FANTASTIC! Truly 10/10 in every aspect. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making my stay a stellar experience. The first view of the hotel was very impressive. Alongside a canal it was a classic style hotel. And so was the inside. I was welcomed by the front staff who were very friendly and efficient and everything in the hotel was classically faultless. Wonderful bed and bathroom supplies.As a bonus, if using public transport, its very easy to get from the airport with a metro station within a 3 minute walk.Would highly recommend this hotel if visiting Amsterdam.

No really a kid friendly hotel .Cuts of meat not if great quality in brassiere.Rooms were fantastic 15 years ago but they need a Overhaul.Staff fantastic but when with kids they were hesitant to seat me in the brassiere,but before my family arrived it was an easier experience.Concierge was fantastic with help..Breakfast on Sunday was moved and we had to sit in another restaurant on our own because the temporary place was full.

This hotel is a stand out in Amsterdam, offering great views and a great location.The staff are attentive, professional, and exceptional helpful, often going out of their way to help.The room we had was very well kept. It offered amazing views on to the Amstel. The breakfast, lunch, and dinners we had were without fault.If nothing else, go just for the cocktails and outstanding bar staff at the A Bar.

We finished our river cruise in Amsterdam and wanted a hotel that would give us a feel of the history of the city. The Intercontinental Amstel was an elegant, relaxing, way to do just that. Our water view room was large and well appointed. The bed was great and the bathroom luxurious. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel, staff and food were amazing. I could not be more pleased. My only negative observation was that the soft materials in our room were in need of updating or replacement. For my five star travellers, this would be an issue. All else was fabulous and hese observations did not i plact the enjoyment of the hotel for me. He staff was most accommodating, knowledgeable and ready to assist in any way. I loved my stay here and would definitely return.

Everything about this property is perfect!I always enjoy my stay with Intercontinental , however, I must say that the Amsterdam property is the most welcoming and its staff is not only professional but very kind. From the moment you check in until the last day there you feel special, the accommodations and dining are superb. I will definitely come back to this property.
